How does 21 Day Cyber give me an ADVANTAGE?
Rob Cyber created the 21 Day Cyber course for EVERYONE who isn't satisfied with their current situation and wants to transform their life with Cybersecurity. This course is designed to give you a competitive advantage over the job competition by providing you access to real behind-the-scenes Cybersecurity training.
There are literally THOUSANDS of people striving to secure these open Cybersecurity jobs, and the competition for entry-level positions is very intense. Moreover, there is often a recruitment barrier where many individuals feel they aren't getting the opportunities they deserve. It's as if they keep saying there are ALL OF THESE OPEN CYBER JOBS, yet it sometimes appears they're reluctant to provide anyone with a real chance to prove themselves.
So the question becomes, how do you gain experience when nobody is willing to give you a chance? The answer is the 21 Day Cyber course. Rob Cyber's training will equip you with real Cybersecurity investigation skills BEFORE you secure your first job, significantly increasing your chances of impressing The Hiring Manager during the interview process and receiving a Cybersecurity job offer.
21 Day Cyber is built for speed. Rob secured a Cybersecurity job paying $80,000 Per Year by obtaining 9 certifications in 9 months and acquiring hands-on Cybersecurity skills. Many individuals TAKE YEARS to break into Cybersecurity, but with 21 Day Cyber, you'll learn the skills that can help you expedite the process and land an IT/Cyber job in a shorter timeframe.
Does this course cover the basics of networking and security?
The 21 Day Cyber course DOES NOT cover the basics of networking and security. It skips the fundamentals and dives straight into hands-on Cybersecurity investigations.
If you want to learn the basics of networking and security, you can achieve this by studying for the CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certifications. The best resources for training materials are Professor Messer's videos on YouTube (FREE) and Jason Dion's courses on Udemy (PAID).
The Google Cybersecurity Certificate on Coursera is also an excellent option for learning the basics of Cybersecurity.
Should I get the CompTIA Security+ before enrolling in 21 Day Cyber?
There are no prerequisites for taking the 21 Day Cyber course. You can enroll in the 21 Day Cyber course while simultaneously studying for the CompTIA Security+ certification. It will be an exciting experience because you'll be learning the basics of security while also gaining practical hands-on experience with Cybersecurity investigations.
Sometimes, reading books and watching videos can become a bit boring. Training with Rob Cyber will keep you pumped up and motivated as you progress on your path to becoming a Cybersecurity Analyst.
Can you really learn Cybersecurity in ONLY 21 days?
No, you can't learn EVERY SINGLE THING about Cybersecurity in just 21 Days. Learning the basics of networking and security takes 1-3 months and is typically accomplished by studying for the CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certifications. As mentioned earlier, the 21 Day Cyber course is hands-on and skips over the basics.
...And ABSOLUTELY YES, you can learn the fundamentals of hands-on Cybersecurity investigations in 21 Days. When you land your first real job, they usually provide on-the-job training (OJT), pairing you with a Senior Cyber Analyst on the team. After 2-3 weeks of training (approximately 21 Days), they expect you to investigate Tier-1 Cybersecurity Alerts without embarrassing the company. If you can officially start working on shift after 2-3 weeks of OJT, then Rob Cyber can certainly teach you the fundamentals of Cybersecurity investigations in the same amount of time.
The 21 Day Cyber course isn't designed to make you a Lead Cyber Analyst, it's designed to give you behind-the-scenes exposure to real Cybersecurity investigations so you can confidently answer scenario-based questions during the Tier-1 Cybersecurity SOC Analyst interview process, which will help you stand out and increase your chances of getting a Cyber job offer.
Consider Mohamed's testimonial. He had several CompTIA certifications but lacked real Cyber experience and had ABSOLUTELY NO LUCK with Cyber recruiters. He took the 21 Day Cyber Splunk Incident Response Training and landed a Cyber job that Doubled His Salary just 37 Days later! This is proof that if you already have a few CompTIA certifications you can learn hands-on Cybersecurity in 21 Days and possibly receive job offers from the training!

Is 21 Day Cyber considered beginner or advanced level training?
21 Day Cyber is considered intermediate-level training designed for beginners who want to take the next step and gain hands-on experience with real-world Cybersecurity investigations. The training focuses on Tier-1 Cybersecurity SOC Analyst job responsibilities, including Intrusion Detection, Endpoint Protection, Email Phishing Analysis, Enforcing Company Policy, and Cyber Incident Response.
The 21 Day Cyber course does NOT include Digital Forensics or Advanced Dynamic Malware Analysis. Those job responsibilities usually come later down the road when you get promoted to a Tier-2 Cybersecurity Analyst role.
While the 21 Day Cyber course involves alerts where you will enforce company policy, it is NOT considered in-depth training for a GRC or ISSO job role.
21 Day Cyber is NOT considered advanced-level Cyber Defense Training, like the SANS GCIH certification. Once again, this is intermediate-level training for beginners who have learned the basics and now want to take the next step to gain the hands-on experience that can help them during the competitive interview process.
How is the 21 Day Cyber course similar to a job shadow program?
When you train with Rob Cyber, it will feel as if you are sitting right next to him inside the Security Operations Center (SOC). You know how when you go to the arcade, and they have that flight simulator game where you try to fly and land the plane on the runway? It's not the real thing, but it looks and feels real!
In a similar fashion, the 21 Day Cyber course simulates a real-world Cybersecurity job. It will feel like you are actually working on shift as a Cybersecurity Analyst, conducting various Cyber investigations alongside Rob Cyber. This will give you an advantage during the interview process because you will be able to provide in-depth answers and analysis to the interview questions, which will be very impressive to The Hiring Manager and increase your chances of getting a job offer!
What Cyber jobs will 21 Day Cyber help prepare me for?
21 Day Cyber can help you prepare for ANY JOB that involves the investigation and triage of Cybersecurity alerts coming into a SIEM or SOAR environment, including the following job roles:
- Jr. SOC Analyst
- SOC Analyst (Tier-1)
- Jr. Cybersecurity Analyst
- Cybersecurity Analyst
- Cloud Security Analyst
- Information Security Analyst
- Network Security Analyst
- Network Defense Analyst
- IT Security Analyst
- Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst
- Cybersecurity Consultant
- Cybersecurity Engineer ***
- Security Engineer/Analyst Hybrid Role (Dual Responsibilities) ***
The jobs listed above may have different titles, but they all share similar job responsibilities.
*** Engineers typically work on backend software systems that support the SOC, but it's essential to understand the Analyst Job Role and how they collaborate as a team to effectively defend a corporate network from Cyber threats. Some hybrid job roles will have you do Analyst and Engineering scopes of work simultaneously. The most skilled engineers and hybrids GET PAID VERY WELL ($200,000 Per Year is possible) due to their versatile skill sets.
How does 21 Day Cyber HELP struggling IT Professionals?
IT professionals who aspire to become Cybersecurity Analysts often face a lot of frustration. Many of them feel stuck on the Help Desk with no way out. Occasionally, they secure interviews for Cybersecurity positions, only to stumble and never get chosen because they lack real training and hands-on experience.
These jobs schedule interviews, offer friendly smiles, and create an illusion that you have a real chance, only to send a rejection email later, claiming they chose someone else due to your lack of Cybersecurity experience. Well guess what Sherlock? You saw on my resume that I didn’t have any Cybersecurity experience, so why did you even interview me? The frustration is real.
So the question then becomes, how are you going to gain experience when nobody is willing to hire you and provide you with the opportunity to gain that experience? This is where Rob Cyber steps in and shows you how to make this real money with Cybersecurity. Rob is going to coach you up and show you exactly what to do!
The 21 Day Cyber course is a fully hands-on training program that provides a detailed action plan to go from ZERO to a Tier-1 Cybersecurity SOC Analyst. This plan includes realistic steps to learn hands-on Cyber investigation skills, obtain multiple certifications to prove your hard work ethic, create a video resume to showcase your Cyber skills to employers, and interview preparation that can help you seal the deal and secure a job offer.
The Help Desk is a good starting point, but after a while, those paychecks just aren't big enough baby! If you're an IT professional eager to GET PAID with Cybersecurity, then enroll in the 21 Day Cyber course TODAY!
Is Tech or IT experience mandatory to get a Cyber job?
90% of Cybersecurity professionals first gain entry-level IT experience before being considered for Cybersecurity positions. The good news is that many IT and Cyber jobs utilize the same software.
IT Job responsibilities also involve the use of:
- Splunk
- Wireshark
- Linux
- Service Now
- Microsoft Teams
The 21 Day Cyber course will teach you foundational skills that can help you secure an entry-level IT job. You can then leverage the additional Cyber training to transition into a Cybersecurity role much faster than the average person.
21 Day Cyber will also assist you with career development, which teaches you how to write your IT/Cyber resumes, market yourself on LinkedIn, and how to properly network with IT/Cyber Job recruiters.
What IT Jobs can 21 Day Cyber help me qualify for?
21 Day Cyber can teach you hands-on IT skills that can help you qualify for these entry-level IT job roles:
- Help Desk Analyst
- Service Desk Analyst
- IT Support Analyst
- IT Systems Analyst
- Network Technician
- Computer Technician
- Junior Network Administrator (aka Junior Sysadmin)
- Junior Network Engineer
- Network Engineer (Additional training, such as Cisco CCNA, may be required)
- ...And any other entry-level IT role with similar job responsibilities.
The majority of entry-level IT jobs just want you to have enough foundational understanding of IT and networking concepts that will allow their team to train you up on their systems. 21 Day Cyber can give you the foundational hands-on training that they are looking for in new job candidates.
For example, a Junior Network Engineer position may interview someone with the Network+ certification, but they will consider someone who already possesses Wireshark PCAP analysis skills as a much stronger entry-level job candidate. It's the combination of certifications and skills that sets you apart from the competition, and the 21 Day Cyber course will certainly teach you the skills that The Hiring Managers are looking for.
Learning Wireshark PCAP analysis BEFORE getting hired is one of the main reasons why Rob Cyber secured a Cybersecurity job paying $80,000 Per Year in less than one year!
Please note that 21 Day Cyber will NOT help with Data Science, Software Engineering, AI Machine Learning, or Web Development.
Should I still enroll in 21 Day Cyber if I don't have IT experience?
Absolutely! What you need to understand is that there are literally more than 100,000 people competing for these entry-level tech jobs. Typically, individuals obtain ONE CompTIA certification and then beg companies for a chance to prove themselves during the interview process.
All of these entry-level applicants possess the same skill level with no real experience, so The Hiring Manager often selects the candidate that they like the most. This is why you might feel deserving of an opportunity, but for some strange reason you NEVER get chosen.
The 21 Day Cyber course will teach you skills that can demonstrate to IT hiring managers your genuine passion for excelling in the field. The Hiring Manager will appreciate that you already possess practical hands-on skills in areas such as Service Now Ticketing, Wireshark PCAP Analysis, The Linux Command-Line, and Splunk Log Analysis.
The training you receive from 21 Day Cyber will help you stand out during the IT interview process and increase your chances of receiving a job offer. Once you're in the building, you can leverage the additional Cyber skills you've learned to pivot into Cybersecurity much faster than the average person.
Can I SKIP the IT Job and go straight into Cybersecurity?
Rob Cyber worked on cell phone towers for 8 years and transitioned directly into a Tier-2 Cybersecurity SOC Analyst role. He achieved this by acquiring hands-on skills, obtaining 9 certifications, and creating a video resume (The Secret Weapon) to showcase his abilities to recruiters and hiring managers. Rob Cyber is about to teach you how to follow the same path in the 21 Day Cyber course.
However, it's essential to acknowledge that there's a 90% chance you'll need to gain IT experience first. While there is a small possibility of transitioning directly into a Cybersecurity role from a non-technical job field, like Starbucks or Home Depot, this is not the most common scenario.
If you are NOT willing to start with an IT job first, your chances of becoming a Cybersecurity Analyst are relatively low.
Obtaining a college degree in Cybersecurity can increase your chances of directly entering an entry-level Cyber job role without first gaining IT experience.
Do I need a college degree to get into Cyber?
You don't need a college degree to become a Cybersecurity Analyst, but it's a bonus if you have one. Having a degree improves your chances of directly entering an entry-level Cybersecurity role. If you choose not to pursue a college degree, you'll need to start with an IT job and then transition into Cybersecurity from there.
Completing a degree program typically takes 3-4 years. It's possible that the IT job route may be slightly faster, allowing you to enter an entry-level IT position and potentially pivot into Cybersecurity within 1-2 years.
Western Governor's University (WGU) offers one of the most popular online Cybersecurity degree programs. Additionally, keep in mind that having a Cybersecurity degree can significantly benefit you 5-10 years down the road as you compete for management or senior leadership roles.
Do you need coding skills to get a Cyber job?
You don't need coding skills to become a Tier-1 Cybersecurity Analyst. As you progress to Tier-2, a full understanding of interpreting malicious JavaScript payloads and malicious PowerShell scripts will become a requirement.
The 21 Day Cyber SOC Incident Response Training DOES COVER the basics of malicious malware exploit scripts and how to interpret and defend against them in a SOC environment.
Learning Python scripting is valuable if you intend to pursue Penetration Testing or become a Cybersecurity Engineer working on backend systems supporting the SOC. Rob Cyber isn't suggesting that coding isn't necessary for Cybersecurity; instead, he's emphasizing that coding skills are less critical for entry-level Cyber roles.
While it's perfectly fine to take a beginner Python coding class to prepare for a career in Cybersecurity, you typically won't encounter in-depth coding questions during a Tier-1 Cybersecurity Analyst interview.
Can I get a Cyber job even if I'm older than 30 years old?
Cybersecurity is a 'PROVE IT' job industry. This means that a Hiring Manager would prefer to hire a 35-year-old with the actual skills to protect the company's network rather than hiring a 23-year-old who lacks the necessary skills for the job. In 95% of cases, the person who performs the best during the technical interview process is the one that gets the job offer.
Rob Cyber didn't secure his first Cybersecurity job until he was 31 years old. It's widely recognized that many individuals aged 30 and older are looking to change their careers and transition into fields with better pay. As long as you have the qualifications for an entry-level Cyber job role and perform well during the technical interview process, The Hiring Manager won't be concerned about your age.
Can 21 Day Cyber help me get a Cyber Sales or Recruiting type job?
This course will also help people who want to go into the Cybersecurity industry in a non-technical role like sales or recruiting. If you can walk into an interview and confidently talk about behind-the-scenes Cybersecurity Operations, it will help you stand out and get that sales or recruiting gig that you really want. Cyber sales and recruiting both pay BIG MONEY BABY!
Do I ONLY get 21 Days to complete the 21 Day Cyber course?
The 21 Day Cyber course is released in three phases over a three-week period, but you can progress at your own pace. It's perfectly acceptable if you take longer than 21 days to complete the course. Additionally, it will likely require an extra 3-4 weeks of hands-on lab practice before you can confidently discuss all the Cyber Defense concepts during the interview process.
It will also take approximately 1 additional week to plan and create a compelling video resume that you can share with recruiters and hiring managers. So, while the course is named '21 Day Cyber,' it may take 30-60 days to be fully trained and prepared for the interview process. You'll have three years of access to the course in case you need to return and refresh your knowledge about Cybersecurity Investigations.
Here's the course schedule breakdown:
DAY 1: Course Orientation, Wireshark, and Linux
DAY 8: Splunk SOC Incident Response and Phishing
DAY 15: Career Preparation, Interview Preparation, and Video Resume
DAY 21: Full understanding of Tier-1 SOC Operations
FINAL: T1SOC Exam Registration and Certification
Can I SKIP the first week of training and go straight into Week 2 Splunk SOC Incident Response?
We DO NOT allow students to skip around the course. You won't be able to skip week 1 and go straight to week 2. The course is already taught at an accelerated pace, so Rob Cyber wants to provide you with the appropriate amount of time to practice and implement the training in your home lab environment to truly acquire the skills required for a Cybersecurity job.
Additionally, the 21 Day Cyber course builds upon the knowledge from previous training modules. For example, in the Splunk SOC Incident Response Training, we simulate connecting to a compromised host through the Linux command line. This is why it's essential to learn the Linux Operating System in week 1.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The first week of training focuses on Wireshark and Linux. The Week 2 Splunk Incident Response training is released on DAY 8 of the course curriculum. Our refund policy gives you a 7 Day Money Back Guarantee. If you request a refund on Day 7 or earlier, you will NOT get access to the additional training that is released after Day 7.
Will 21 Day Cyber help me pass the Splunk Certification Exams?
In the 21 Day Cyber course, Rob Cyber will guide you through the basics of the Splunk Command-Line and demonstrate how it is utilized in Cybersecurity investigations.
The Splunk training you receive from Rob Cyber will definitely help, but is NOT considered official Splunk training for any Splunk certification exams.
Rob Cyber's advice would be to watch Splunk's Official Training Videos to prepare for the Splunk Core Certified User certification exam.
What is the STACK THE DECK certification strategy?
Rob was able to secure a Cybersecurity job in less than a year by obtaining 9 certifications in 9 months. The average person often does the bare minimum by acquiring just one basic certification, then applies to 500 jobs, hoping for an entry-level opportunity, and ends up frustrated and salty when they receive minimal response from recruiters.
The era of obtaining only the CompTIA Security+ certification and easily landing a Cybersecurity job is long gone. If you want to get the attention of recruiters, you need to possess 5-7 certifications, showcasing your well-rounded knowledge and your commitment to studying harder than the average entry-level job candidate.
The 5-7 certifications will get the recruiters to notice you, and the video resume strategy will help convince both recruiters and hiring managers to consider you for an interview and potential employment.
What is the Video Resume strategy?
The video resume is The Secret Weapon that can convince recruiters to submit you for job interviews. Rob will show you how to record your screen as you walk through different Cybersecurity investigations. This will also demonstrate to The Hiring Manager that you already possess the skills required for a Tier-1 Cybersecurity SOC Analyst role.
CompTIA certification exams consist of multiple-choice questions, and the general consensus is that anyone can memorize a few terms and select the correct answers. However, even with CompTIA certifications, many people still lack real Cybersecurity investigation skills, leading to them being ignored by recruiters, which can be very frustrating.
Most hiring managers prefer not to train someone from the ground up; they would rather hire individuals who can hit the ground running and quickly adapt to the job with 2-3 weeks of On-The-Job Training.
The video resume eliminates any doubts from The Hiring Manager regarding your capabilities because they can watch you on video performing actual Cybersecurity investigations. Once The Hiring Manager sees your videos showcasing your skills in Splunk, Linux, and Wireshark, they are more likely to grant you an interview. You'll also have an advantage during the interview process because The Hiring Manager will be fully aware that you already have the skills to excel in the job, increasing your chances of standing out and receiving a job offer.
If you scroll down and Join The FREE 100k Cyber Job Webinar, Rob Cyber shares how he created his video resume on 10/11/2020 and secured a Cyber job paying $80,000 Per Year just 34 days later on 11/13/2020. This serves as proof that a video resume can give you a significant advantage over the competition during your job search!
More Detailed Questions...
How is this course ONLY 21 Days when other Cybersecurity Bootcamps are 6 months long?
Most Cyber bootcamps start with the basics and gradually introduce hands-on labs over a 6-month period. Rob Cyber skips the basics because you can learn that material for FREE on YouTube with Professor Messer's CompTIA Network+ and Security+ training videos.
Secondly, you have to understand that the longer a program is, the more they can charge for it. It's challenging to justify a $15,000 price tag for a 4-week course, so they need to include enough content to extend the duration to 6 months and justify the cost.
The 21 Day Cyber course features a streamlined curriculum. Instead of covering every single detail of Cybersecurity, Rob Cyber focuses on teaching a curriculum centered around the job responsibilities of a Tier-1 Cybersecurity SOC Analyst.
For instance, a typical bootcamp might spend 2 weeks on firewalls, but Rob Cyber will demonstrate how to open and close ports on a Linux Firewall in about 1 hour. He will also show you how to interpret Splunk Firewall Logs in about 1 hour. With the 21 Day Cyber course, you'll gain a solid understanding of firewalls in approximately 2 hours of instruction, while other bootcamps may dedicate a lengthy 2 weeks to the same topic.
Remember, you don't have to be an expert in every aspect to secure an entry-level Cyber job. You just need to convey enough practical knowledge to The Hiring Manager to instill confidence that they can bring you in and train you on their security systems. This is why Rob Cyber can prepare you in about 1 month, without investing an extra 5 months on stuff that they won’t even ask you about during the interview process.
With Rob Cyber you won't be spending those EXTRA 5 MONTHS on meaningless labs, you will be spending those extra 5 months getting the CompTIA, Splunk, and Microsoft certifications that will have the recruiters ready to submit you to these well-paying IT/Cyber jobs.
Why is the 21 Day Cyber course SO CHEAP compared to other Cybersecurity Bootcamps that charge $15,000?
Rob would like to first say that SOME of the bootcamps charging $15,000 have legitimate Cyber training courses, but the price is just Too Damn High for many people, especially with no guaranteed job placements.
When Rob Cyber was 18 years old, he wanted to be an entrepreneur and own a business, but everything he wanted to do cost at least $5,000 or more to start, which was very frustrating given his limited income at the time.
So Rob Cyber decided he would create a Cyber Academy where EVERYONE has a chance to make it. Rob knows what it feels like to be down and out, and he knows what it feels like to find the success and happiness that he always wanted for himself. Now he hopes to inspire and empower others to chase their dreams with Cybersecurity.
How terrible would it be if someone working a Low-Paying Job saw Rob Cyber’s comeback story and then got ALL INSPIRED AND PUMPED UP to become a Cybersecurity Analyst, only to find out that they can’t afford the training because it costs $10,000.
Rob Cyber also understands that CompTIA certifications also cost money. The $1,497 price tag, along with the flexible 6-month payment plan option, frees up some additional money for students to pay for the important IT/Cyber certifications that will help them get noticed by recruiters.
So yeah, Rob Cyber could charge more money, but he offers the 21 Day Cyber course at an affordable price to help you level up, put yourself in a better financial situation, and overcome all the bullsh*t that happened to you in the past that wasn't your fault!
To sum it all up… Rob Cyber just wants to see you win Baby! Let's Get It!
What types of alerts will I analyze in the 21 Day Cyber course?
You will be looking at:
- Firewall logs to determine how long a malicious IP has been targeting our external web servers.
- HTTP logs to analyze the websites the user visited before malware was downloaded to their computer.
- Email logs to investigate the late-night phishing email campaign that was sent to the entire company.
ONCE WE IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM, THEN WE TAKE ACTION:
- Implement a 90-day block on the firewall for the malicious IP address attacking our perimeter.
- Quarantine the infected laptop of the user who downloaded the malware.
- Remove the phishing emails from our employees' inboxes at 7 am, before they arrive at the office, to prevent their login credentials from being compromised by the phishing campaign.
...And many more real-world Cybersecurity investigation scenarios.
Once you learn how to investigate real Cybersecurity alerts you will be able to confidently answer the scenario-based interview questions and sound very impressive to The Hiring Manager!
Does 21 Day Cyber cover Red Team Penetration Testing?
Offensive Security = Red Team (Penetration Testing)
Defensive Security = Blue Team (Cybersecurity Analyst)
21 Day Cyber is a 100% BLUE TEAM course. Rob Cyber will show you how hackers use Kali Linux to conduct a perimeter network scan on a corporate network, but you will not receive any detailed Penetration Testing training from this course.
One very important thing to understand is that Penetration Testing is NOT an entry-level Cybersecurity role. 90% of Penetration Testers have to FIRST gain Cybersecurity experience as an Analyst or in a similar role, and then transition into Penetration Testing MULTIPLE years down the line.
How long will it take to get hired?
FYI THIS IS A LONG RESPONSE because I have to explain everything!
If you already have IT experience, you can realistically budget about 3-4 months before you start getting attention from recruiters for Entry-Level Cyber Jobs. This will depend on you completing the 21 Day Cyber course and STACKING THE DECK with at least 3 additional Cybersecurity certifications like the CompTIA CySA+ and the Splunk Core User certification.
If you DO NOT have IT experience, you can realistically expect to start getting attention from recruiters for Entry-Level IT Jobs within 5-6 months if you study at an average pace, or possibly 3-4 months if you study much faster than the average person. This will also depend on you STACKING THE DECK by obtaining at least 3-4 IT certifications like the CompTIA Network+, Security+, and Linux+, or the Cisco CCNA to stand out from the competition.
You will also use the training you receive from the 21 Day Cyber course to make a video resume showcasing your IT skills in Linux, Wireshark, and Splunk to the recruiters and hiring managers, which will increase your chances of getting a job offer.
Once you get 9-12 months of IT experience, you can try and pivot into an Entry-Level Cybersecurity role much faster than the average person by STACKING THE DECK with at least 3 additional Cybersecurity certifications like the ones mentioned above and using the training you have received from the 21 Day Cyber course. Rob Cyber’s Video Resume strategy showcasing your Cyber skills to recruiters and hiring managers will be instrumental in helping you move up the ranks more quickly.
If you are starting from ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and coming from a non-technical job career like a truck driver or fast-food worker, you need to realistically budget about 12 months before you start getting attention from Cybersecurity recruiters. 90% of Cybersecurity Professionals have to get an IT job first before going into Cybersecurity. If you are NOT willing to get an IT job first, your chances of becoming a Cybersecurity Analyst are NOT very high.
This Career Path is NOT for a Get-Rich-Quick artist or an "I’m going to do the bare minimum and see what happens" type of person. This is for people who are ready to go on the journey and put in the work to level up and change their lives!
AND REMEMBER THIS: If you put in the work and pull this off, you can be making $100,000 Per Year for the NEXT 30 YEARS until you are 65 years old and ready to retire! No, your FIRST Cybersecurity job won't be $100,000 Per Year, but after a few years of experience, it's 100k and up!
If you think I’m lying, go to indeed.com RIGHT NOW and look at the Cyber Job Salaries! It’s Money Bags ON TOP of Money Bags Baby! You just got to put in the work and earn it! LET’S GO!
If you follow Rob Cyber he will show you the proven blueprint to go from ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to obtaining one of these well-paying IT/Cyber jobs!
The timeframes given above are rough estimates and not exact. The 21 Day Cyber course does not guarantee a job placement. Please visit the link below to see the Job Placement and Student Earnings Disclaimers.
What are REALISTIC salary expectations for my first Cyber job?
Realistic expectations for Entry-Level Cyber Jobs in the USA range between $60,000 and $80,000 Per Year, with $70,000 Per Year being a very realistic starting point. It's very possible to jump from 60k to 80k after 1 year, and then from 80k to 100k after another year. Also, your first Cybersecurity job is not likely to give you a $20,000 pay raise, you will have to change jobs and jump around in your first 2-3 years to receive significant salary increases.
If you are in a state with a higher cost of living like California or New York, there is a chance your first Cybersecurity job can pay $80,000 Per Year or a little more. If you are an established IT worker, it's very likely they will offer you a salary similar to what you're currently making if it's higher than an entry-level salary. For example, if you are an experienced Network Engineer making $90,000 Per Year, they will most likely offer you a comparable salary with a slight pay raise instead of expecting you to accept a 70k offer.

Should I work for a MSSP or for one single company?
A Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) is a company that offers Cybersecurity services to other companies lacking their internal Cybersecurity teams. Some companies, such as online colleges or hospitals, prefer to outsource their Cyber operations rather than managing them in-house.
MSSPs typically provide 24-hour coverage with three rotating shifts, resulting in a high number of job openings. They often serve 10-50 customers simultaneously, leading to employee burnout as their Cyber Analysts have to investigate alerts for multiple companies at the same time, resulting in a high volume of work. MSSPs also experience high employee turnover and tend to pay lower salaries compared to other companies.
Rob Cyber's advice is to consider joining an MSSP for about a year to gain experience and then transition to working for a single company with fewer alerts and better pay. Working for a single company provides more job responsibilities and opportunities to expand your skillset, making you a more valuable asset and allowing you to command a higher salary.
MSSPs are not bad to work for; however, they may not offer the best compensation and require handling a substantial number of alerts. While it might be exciting at first as you gain experience, you will eventually seek a Cybersecurity job with better pay and an improved quality of life.
Do Cyber jobs allow you to work remote from home?
Cybersecurity has thousands of remote work-from-home opportunities available on websites like indeed.com. When the COVID-19 pandemic emerged in 2020, over 80% of Cybersecurity jobs transitioned to remote work. However, there is currently a push by employers to bring their employees back to the office. Senior Cybersecurity professionals with advanced skillsets have more leverage in negotiating remote work assignments.
While there are remote entry-level Cybersecurity positions, it's important to recognize that the majority of entry-level job opportunities will be in an office or involve a hybrid arrangement where you come into the office 2-3 days per week. As you gain a few years of experience and expand your skillset, you'll become more valuable and be in a better position to negotiate remote work arrangements.
Will Cyber jobs allow you to work remotely out of the country?
Government jobs will NOT allow you to work internationally under any circumstances, unless you are specifically on an international assignment that they hired you for. Getting a Cyber job in Washington DC and then going to Brazil to work is NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.
If you want to work remotely internationally, you have to find a company that has an international footprint with multiple offices in multiple countries. These are the companies that are more likely to allow you to travel and live the digital nomad lifestyle like Rob Cyber. For example, this could be a software company, or an internet-based company like Airbnb. Job industries with heavy regulations, such as Finance and Healthcare, are not likely to allow you to travel.
Rob’s first job with an MSSP denied international travel. Rob’s second job with an MSSP allowed 6 weeks of travel outside of the country while working, which is better than nothing. Rob’s most recent job allows him to travel the world at will. You just have to find the right opportunity.
You should be willing to put in several years of work before attempting to travel and work out of the country. Getting an entry-level Cyber job and then immediately going to the Dominican Republic after orientation is not realistic. But congratulations if you get lucky Baby!
Do you get a certification once you complete the 21 Day Cyber Course?
When you complete the 21 Day Cyber course, you have the option to take the T1SOC certification exam. The T1SOC is a fully hands-on exam that simulates real-world Cybersecurity scenarios. All exam topics will be directly related to the 21 Day Cyber course curriculum.
During the exam, you will receive 30 Alerts that you need to investigate. The question will appear on your screen, and then you will have to query logs on your Splunk Virtual Machine to analyze the alert, identify the problem, and choose the most appropriate action to remediate the situation.
You need at least an 80% score to pass the exam and receive the T1SOC certification. The exam is 180 minutes (3 hours) in length, allowing for up to 6 minutes per question. All students have 3 attempts to pass the exam. The T1SOC certification exam is optional and not mandatory.
Will The T1SOC certification ALONE get me a Cybersecurity job?
THIS IS THE REAL TRUTH...
The T1SOC is considered a supplementary certification. The Certifications from well-known companies like CompTIA, Splunk, and Microsoft are far more respected by recruiters than 'BOOTCAMP' certifications. This is primarily because most Bootcamps do not provide high-quality training.
The blueprint is to obtain CompTIA, Splunk, and Microsoft certifications to get the recruiters to talk to you, and then use the T1SOC training to Shine Bright Like A Superstar during the interview process when you apply all the knowledge that Rob Cyber has taught you in the 21 Day Cyber course.
TRANSLATION: Having the T1SOC certification will be beneficial, but it alone won't secure you a job.
THIS IS THE REAL TRUTH PART 2...
Rob is sharing this because there are individuals who were sold an unrealistic dream and paid $15,000 for a bootcamp certification, hoping it would lead to a Cybersecurity job. However, two years later, they still haven't landed a Cybersecurity job, and they're stuck making monthly payments on the $15,000 in student loans they took on to participate in the bootcamp. Rob Cyber values honesty and informs students that while the T1SOC certification is valuable, the IT/Cyber job recruiters will heavily favor CompTIA, Splunk, and Microsoft certifications when considering candidates for entry-level jobs.
I hope you appreciate the honesty!
